Happy Birthday to Author/Artist/Rapper Jymi Cliché! I knew Jymi as a volunteer for M-POWER's conference for consumers of mental health services. Jymi was excellent during that conference redirecting focus to the arts and literature, and film resources for the LGBTI Community, while my focus was on political issues, it was a nice balance of approaches and I grew in my respect for his gentle advocacy.
Today many of his friends will attend a ZOOM birthday and fundraiser, and I look forward to attending. It happens in less than a hour, so I much rush through this blog post a bit. Jymi is the author of "The Godchild" trilogy of books. A great look into the life and thoughts of someone with the unique talents and gifts as well as challenges and obstacles that Jymi has faced during his lifetime, "The Godchild" is available through Amazon in both print and in ebook formats.
Jymi has performed rap at open mics and is a digital artist and painter. It is really no surprise that Jymi's art reaches a multitude of appreciative supporters and art critics. He is engaging, topical, fun, and talented. I am thrilled to be his friend and happy to wish him all the best in his future endeavors, whatever they may entail.
