Mob Attack on the Capitol and Congressional Attack on the Validity of the Election, both Shameful.

The mob attack on the Capitol by far-right extremist groups is rightly condemned widely by the international community and both side of the isle of Congress. We were shocked to see hate symbols on tattoos and on Confederate flags inside the Capitol by those who hate democracy and hate the valid and fair results of the election of Biden/Harris to the executive branch.

But following that brazen attack it was the Pennsylvanian objection to the Electoral votes of Pennsylvania, this too was shameful and misleading. The rules for the election were valid, and the voting by mail was used by many due to the COVID-19 crisis and were valid votes.

Our words matter, when they incite violence and when they seek to disenfranchise valid and fair votes whether in mobs or in government, they are serious and grave to use them to attack democracy. We must "jealously defend" the constitution. But we can never let those who are not armed with truth, facts, and valid mandates of fair and just elections take our republic by shameful acts of violence and hate speech.
